Hello George,

Interesting timing as I happened to be viewing this gallery for the first time in a couple week, and shortly after you posted.

That little crucifix in the shadows always gets me too. I've been compelled for a lon time to photograph this church in the Tetons, so I stationed outside it until sunrise one day. Nature took care of the rest.

Tx for you rcomments as well. Am glad someone likes the image. I thought it worked out pretty well too.

I always seem to come back to this image. The origianlity of a log cabin church so truly echoed by the rugged peaks is simply bursting with import.
While any camera could probably get this, still, you've used the SD-9 to its fullest to keep dymanic range in a way that is non-obvious. (The smaller crucifix, buried in the shadows, replicated in the bright moutain range)
This view says so much, that I don't know why i've never seen it in Major print.
it's iconoclastic.
