We have had a lot of rain, not snow in the last few days. (lots of snow in the mountains) This is high desert which doesnt do well when overwhelmed with water. This is the Truckee River in downtown Reno this afternoon, it is above flood stage. There has been a fair amount of flooding. We had a 100 year flood New Years Day 1997, this isn't as bad as 97. The Truckee is normally a small shallow river. Not today.
