FOXX AKK welcomes Antulke, Nayak, and Tuksiarpok. So far, the girls have passed their OFA Cardiac and Patella exams. Antulke and Tuksiarpok's CERF's were completely normal. Nayak had a couple of things identified but the doctor did not have concerns about them being a problem genetically. Nayak does have slight senile cataracts in both eyes and a small benign growth on one eye lid. Nayak also has one eye with an extra row of lashes but they are not bothering her eye. OFA Thyroid results are in and all three girls will most likely be equivocal. Their T4 was low but all other values were normal. Due to the fact they were tested within less than a week of leaving their familiar home and coming to a new home, climate, altitude and people, my vet feels the T4 levels may be low due to stress. We will retest in about 6 months as recommended but there were no concerns for the genetic autoimmune thryroiditis at this time. There are no clinical signs of thryroid problems and no need for medication of any kind.

Nayak has been retested for Thyroid and received an OFA Normal for Thyroid. Tuksi and Antulke will be retested after their puppies have been weaned.
