Mexico... Day of the Dead, Guanajuato

We travel by van to the city of Guanajuato. Our first view of this sprawling, colorful city is from the overlook and it is breathtaking! We take the funicular down to the city. The streets are steep and beneath the city are tunnels. What an engineering feat this must have been! (They date back to 1883).

I had wanted to go to the mummy museum but no one else was much interested (can you imagine that?!). Choosing not to travel alone, I will save that for my next visit.
