The year was 2010 when I lost my little black pug Ms. Bailey Bentwhiskers while having her nails clipped at the vet.
She had a cardiac arrest and in spite of CPR, she could not be revived. She was only 8 years old and in good health.
I have never cried so many tears in all my life. You see... she was my very best friend and a little girl with attitude! I loved her so much!
She and Barnum (our fawn pug) used to have so much fun together. We had the Barnum and Bailey circus every day at our house.
And what better way to remember her than a book devoted to her short life. I refer to this as her obituary.
This book was done on Blurb where all my other books have been done. You can make your books public or private. Mine are all public.
I do hope the antics of Ms. Bailey bring a smile to your face.

Your tribute is so heartfelt. I spent a lot of time looking at your Blurb book about Ms Bailey Bentwhiskers. It brought both a smile and tears. I can so relate.

Like you did for Ms Bailey, I also had a class of water bedside for one of our early girls (our champion Fluffy) who insisted on nightly having a drink of ice water from the glass before settling into sleep with us. She refused her water in a dog dish. It had to be a crystal glass with ice that she could share with me. Our Fluffy (a Chihuahua) also shockingly went to the Rainbow at an early age after going to the vet "healthy" and not coming home. That was almost 25 years ago and my heart still aches.

Having grown up with a childhood Pug and then later breeding show Pugs for a while, my heart will always belong to the Breed. I could relate to each of your stories about Ms Bailey's big personality in a little package. She had that wonderful pug personality with her own delightful twist. I loved your photos of Ms Bailey as a puppy.

Thank you for doing (and sharing) this wonderful book in memory of Ms Bailey. It was such a loving tribute. Gone far too soon, she will always be a part of your heart. Although her being gone will forever bring great sadness, the time you had with this sweet, little Pug soulmate will also fill your heart with joy. You had something very special (that most may never know) with her.

No matter how long ago our dogs die, we never get over it or forget them, never. I just read your book on Bailey and it was such a loving tribute to her. Eight years.... you feel cheated of all the years you could have had with her. What an adorable and character-full dog she was.
