Oh no!

Look what I found on my passion flower vine... a fritillary caterpillar! It is only 28 degrees out there. He did not move when I touched him.
More than likely, the cold has or will kill him. I am sad!

Pretty image Fay. Sad to see nature not be able to escape the harsh winter elements. We saw a flock of Tree Swallows in Cape May on Sunday. Very sad because they are late to fly south & I doubt they are able to find insects to eat at this time of year...

Oh no, that really is not good news! Poor thing. So much wildlife suffers when we have these unusual weather conditions. Here, the caterpillars are safely hidden for winter, but there, they don't expect this weather. Very sad.
