Come on Bass Pro... you can do better than this!

Father's Day is coming and for those of you with a fisherman or boater in the family, more than likely you may head to Bass Pro for a gift card or something special for Dad.

I just spoke with an employee at Bass Pro in Garland, on Lake Ray Hubbard and they tell me they do not offer paper bags... only plastic!
I guess maybe they are just out to kill animals one way or another!

Now I realize that they are not responsible for the idiocy of the fishermen and whoever else has bought something in their plastic bag and left it at the lake, but in the interest of wildlife... why do they not offer paper bags?
Is this really too much to expect of them? After all, nature and wildlife is their business.
Without it, they will go bust!

So if you are planning on getting Dad a gift, will you speak out for paper bags?
It is time to do what is right for the earth and the animals that live here!
This may seem like a small issue but think of all the plastic bags that leave that store and end up in woodlands or along waterways.

Do it... and do it now!

(By the way, I have written to the manager of the store and requested that he forward my e-mail to the top and I certainly hope this will not fall on deaf ears and that I will get a response back. I will update this with their response.)

FINAL UPDATE: I have heard nothing from Bass Pro in response to my e-mail to the store manager!

Thanks to my friends in the UK and Canada for your responses. This seems to be a world-wide issue that needs to be addressed.

I think these bags should be stamped with the buyers name and address before they leave the shop! Its almost as bad as pet owners who don't pick up the mess in parks and streets

Agreed, Fay! Litter is a huge problem everywhere though.
