This is what I am talking about!!!

Enough! I have had enough!

Does this bird deserve to live with a fish hook caught in his foot with a lure and fishing line still attached?

This is so wrong and I am so angry!

I have contacted a local wildlife rehab organization. Yes they will help... but I have to catch the bird first.
They tell me to find some friends to help, get some food and lure the bird and then catch him in a net and bring him in for treatment.
I do not have experience in catching birds and what if that hook and lure get caught in the net and rip his foot apart?

I am so frustrated with this situation. Does anyone care anymore?

Oh no, this is awful! We've had similar problems here and it is very difficult, if not impossible, to catch birds such as gulls that can still fly. Particularly hard if you have no experience at it, and most of us don't. Wildlife agencies should take more responsibility. I don't mean the ones that rely on volunteers, but the federally or state funded ones! This is such a sad situation. Poor gull.
