1889-1932
"If you were my kinfolk, I'd be talking to you in German right now.
My father had the first retail meat market business in Mesquite.
He also opened the town's first restaurant.
One of my brothers opened a candy store.
I was one of the 11 kids that was most interested in the business and learned all I could from my father.
One of my favorite things to do was make up a big batch of chili and sell it to my customers.
I passed away while at work on November 9, 1932.
I was 53 years old."
(William Henry Tosch was portrayed by Tony Iwanski, Mesquite Community Theater)
