Mexican Scramble

This morning I was up early to get some routine bloodwork drawn. That meant "NPO" prior to the blood draw (nothing by mouth). Included in this was cholesterol/lipids.
So now my ravenous appetite took over and it was then that I decided to stop in and check out the local diner.

Let me try the Mexican Scramble: 3 scrambled eggs with chorizo sausage and cheese, salsa, hash browns (or I could have had grits), and 2 biscuits with cream gravy all served on a Fiestaware platter. The portion was huge and steaming hot! It smelled wonderful.

Now keep in mind, I do not eat like this normally. I eat a lot of vegetables, salads, not much meat and my biggest fat sin is cheese and Blue Bell Ice Cream.
This breakfast was loaded! I don't even want to think about how many calories or fat grams I consumed. But then again... this was a special treat.

Hmmmm... wonder what I should try the next time? The chocolate cream pie sounded good.

Mmmm..... Don't know if I could stomach that meal. (I don't like Chix Fried Steak either - Yuk!) (Also, I don't care for Philly Cheese Steaks either - Double Yuk!)
