Our hosts invite us all to meet on the porch at 1830 for an aperitif accompanied by Aline's delicious tapenade... green tapenade made with green olives, and black tapenade made with black olives, redolent with anchovies and garlic. Aline's husband offers a toast and then the conversation begins. The occasional language barrier does not stop us from laughing and having a wonderful time sharing our travel adventures. The magic of travel comes alive with this exchange!
The appetizer has peaked our appetite and we prepare to go to the village of Lourmarin for dinner.
