For the past 8 years the cheerleaders at Lakeview-Ft. Oglethorpe High School have been making huge banners with Bibles verses on them for the football players to run through before the game. When the Catoosa County School Board was recently notified of this practice (word travels slowly in these parts) they decided that the cheerleaders could no longer put Biblical scripture on their signs. This caused an uproar in the local Christian community and rallies were held, speeches were made, Facebook pages were created and all the God-fearing Christians in LFO took to the streets and the airwaves.
