Remembering Jason Swindlehurst, from Skelmersdale, Lancashire, a friend of mine from the past, who died in captivity after being kidnapped in Iraq.
He died alongside Jason Creswell , from Glasgow after being held for two years. They were workers in the security industry.
Bosses of the Canadian security firm which employed them said the men were "outstanding individuals and experts".
"This development is deeply shocking for the company and
particularly for the families and friends of the victims.

"These two professionals were outstanding individuals and experts who commanded the respect of all those who knew and worked with them.
"They will be deeply missed by their friends and colleagues."

Their bodies were returned to British officials on 19 June, 2009.
