So enjoy your photos, thank you!

Hi Richard,
We love your Avocet snd Stilts photo. Could you possibly print one for us?
Being that Philip does film he doesn't have the possibility to print from your
original. Do you think you could make an l1" lX 14" for us corrected as to your
color sensibilities? We'd love to have one. If this is not the way you'd like to do
business just say so and we'll go along with the program. But we only have a
black and white printer and that isn't going to cut it for this image! No, we don't
do Facebook and won't be guilty of passing this image along to anyone else.
It is entirely beautiful and we'd be most honored to have it.
Thanks so much,
Tamara and Philip (415 669 9898 or text to 415 609 8398)

Richard,
I eagerly await my Saturday mornings when I rush to my computer to view your gallery entry. Many of the images bring a smile to our faces and to my heart. It is great stroke of good fortune to have come across your work. Thank you for the joy you bring to so many including not only the "birders," but nature lovers, hikers, shut-ins, etc. I know you do not lead walks but oh how I wish I could be the proverbial "fly on the wall" just to watch your patience and very keen eye. Please throw in a photo of one of your orchids now and then!

Richard,
I would love to get back on your email list. I changed jobs and now have a new address.
Please include me on you email list with those most awesome bird photos.
My offer stands if you want to come out to our place in Tomales and check out all our friends on the Estero de San Antonio.
Love to all and thanks,
Bob

I met you this morning on Strawberry Hill. I love your photographs. I like the red tailed kite in Wales and the bowerbird in koalabearland, among all the others.

Richard, Your bird pics are the rolling album on my desktop, and I marvel at the variety you get. I am a collage artist, I love to do weird birds, and your birds inspire me. Your newest, the Sandhill Crane social dancing, is just marvelous.
Congratulations, Barbara

I attended your "Birds in Flight" presentation at the Sandhill Crane Festival in Lodi today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Although I took notes as furiously as I could I'm sure I didn't get all the information I would have liked to. Could you please send me a copy of your slides? It would be very much appreciated.
Your galleries are wonderful!

Your daughter Jody shared your interest in birding with my mother at a recent church gathering and she passed your gallery address along to me. Great images, Jody is right to be proud.

Richard: I hope you got some good shots on Saturday. I was fascinated by the camera you were using on the Delta Eco Tour, and envied the great seat you had.

I wish you continued success with your photography. The pictures you have posted here are beautiful.

As we have new neighbors, I am trying to learn about White Tailed Kites. They are new to our little habitat and very beautiful. Yes, a breading pair I call George & Gracie. I know where the nest is (60 ' up)but I don't know how many little kitettes yet. We also have as long time residents, Snowy White Owls. I was hoping for good pictures so I could learn more.

Saw your work at the Cancer Center, Greenbrae. You have captured my favorite bird, the snowy egret in so many situations. I am in love with your photography. What an inspiration. Gives me a deep feeling of excitement.

Richard your bird pictures are amazing, and it's all good. We look forward to seeing you at your upcoming show, January 11 through April 9th. Nice to meet a fellow "Oly" shooter. Your photos speak well for Olympus.

Met you today 11/15 at Las Gallinas. Saw many interesting birds there and a coyote on the way back. We just looked over your web site and were very inspired.

Richard, these are amazing shots! Trish Carney met you at the Las Gallinas Wildlife ponds and recommended you. She has great taste!

WOW, these are fantastic photos!!

One teeny-tiny mistake, though, in the New Zealand/ Swans, Geese, and Ducks section. You mistakenly labeled pic #2055798.jpg as Canada Geese. Actually, these are Graylag Geese. We raised these for years; they make great "watch-geese."

Love your photos; some very sensitive images. Great that you are coming to NZ. I will be coming to your intro talk at Directions. NZ has amazing scenery and beautiful birds especially found on some of the major walking tracks in both islands.

Richard, I did a Google search on Southern Lapwing, and after a typical selection of less than stellar images I found your gallery. The image labeled SouthernLapwing_113450001.jpg is one of those WOW! shots, almost brings a tear to the eye, great job--feels great when you nail it doesn't it.

Looks like you enjoyed Belize. You returned with some fine images.
Bill Steller 30-Apr-2006 18:50
Richard, I just looked over your recent pics from Belize. Great shots. I have been trying my hand at some bird shots , inspired by your sunday bird on the DPR Olympus forum. Could you tell me what lenses you use, especially the long 300mm shots. My favorite shot is the black collared Hawk in flight. Here is my site, its just a start, but thanks for your help.http://dhsbandman.smugmug.com/gallery/1288992
