Owl Baby - Great Horned

This poor baby apparently fell out of its nest at Norfolk Botanical Garden where they are nesting. Based on info supplied, this owl was too young to be on it's own. So in come a bunch of wonderful people to save the day. I'm glad I was there to witness and capture it all. A special THANKS to Lisa Barlow and Pearl Beamer - Wildlife Rehabilitators http://www.wildliferesponse.org ; Nucklos Tree Care - Tim, and especially Nathan & Greg who dared to climb - you guys are my heroes!! These people volunteered their time and the Baby Owl would not have been put back in the tree without their time and energy. Naturally, thanks to my friends - Scott Tewey, NBG Security, who was able to put the owl in a box & keep it safe. And Holly, Carol & David and Jim - what a day! thank you for sharing with us....i got hooked on phoe before she was hatched and i stay in touch every day-i miss her-and it was nice to see the baby owl returned safely to its nest.

What a great website. All the galleries are wonderful Raccoons are my special love - they're so clever. The Great Horned Owl rescue gave me goosebumps. People are truly kind. This will be a favorite website. Thank you.

Shelly what a wonderful ending to what had to be a traumatic experience for this little guy. I know it is a day you will never forget and thanks for sharing these fantastic photos. Its good to hear he had so many caring volunteers to help with the rescue. Heroes indeed and a big thank you to all.
