Ever seen a grown spider cry?

We had a welcome shower of rain this morning.
The spider has a drop of rain on her left (as you're looking at it) eye.
Camera flash was on, no idea why EXIF says not.

Canon EOS 30D ,Tamron SP AF DI 90mm f/2.8 Macro
1/25s f/8.0 at 90.0mm iso200 full exif

oh btw regarding the flash thingy....that is a pbase fault or thing?! somehow...it just doesn't register...i have to put it in myself (have been using a lot of flash recently).

whoa!!!! either this fella was some huge thing or there was some sort of crop? you didn't mention using any other aids (eg extension tubes/ teleconvertors) to shoot this. excellent macro. frightening close.

Superb capture. Much closer than I would like, although, to be fair I keep looking out for Black Widows to try to get a shot, but with a 50mm and close up filter I think I'll be closer than I like!!!!
