July 1. Lake Monger

Just 5 kilometres out of the city of Perth, this lake is the home of many waterbirds,
especially the black swan.Today is the 2nd month of our winter and we desperately
need rain. The water level has dropped significantly in this lake.
June and July are our wettest months usually, but most of June looked like this.

Beautiful sky. The trees are yellow-brown, it's the autumn in your country ?

good reflection, sad tail, I would crop just a tad from the right to remove the random branches creeping into the scene...

Sheila. This is really very nice shot. Especially reflections of tree. Like a tableau. GMV

Fantastic reflections Sheila! No blue skies here today, fog drizzle & rain.
Our June was the driest on record for Adelaide - but I think you're worse off - we
did have good rains in April & May.

Nice shot!

It's the same here for water. Brisbane's catchments are down to 29%...not good for the state with the largest growing population. A nice place for WA's popular black swans to hang out.
