Nov 23. Rainbow Lorrikeets on grass tree flower spike

I went up to the tiny park behind our house this evening and these
lorrikeets were feasting on the flowers of the Australian grass tree,(Xanthorrhoea.)
These spikes are covered in tiny honey scented flowers and can grow more than 16 feet high.

Wow! such a great capture Sheila.. :o) It seems that those Lorrikeets were intendly placed equally, there on that tall grass tree flower as design. Such a beautiful and very interesting kind of grass too. 16 ft? Really interesting.
Gets my vote. :o)
