Pearl Flower.

Conostephium pendulum

We drove to Lesueur National Park today, about 300 kilometres from where we live,
to look at the wildflowers.
This was tiny and I had to lie down to snap it.

Unusual and fascinating with some similarity to Darwinia (Myrtle family). Var. 'meeboldii' (Cranbrook Bell) was the closest flower form I could find in Denise Greig's 'Field Guide to Australian Wildflowers', though the leaf form doesn't quite match.

Hope you manage to put a name to it.

Looks like its related to a protea - wonderful colour combination.
