Indian ringneck parrakeet in protea

Avalon Beach, NSW

This is an "escapee" and as long as he shows up on our verandah and remains safe, he'll remain free as he should be. The bird is not indigenous to Australia, coming mainly from India, Tibet, and Africa.

Magnificent capture, Sheila. Hope he decides to stay close to your house.

He is magnificent Sheila, a really great shot. You must feel very honoured that he has picked you to come & visit with.

A beautiful bird, and a great image. I hope he keeps returning .... he probably doesn't know how to look after himself. Very unusual and a great shot.
