Its the wonderful Canon 300 f/4 L IS which helped with this kind of shot. The sunglasses is a comic touch as you so rightly point out.

Dropped by after seeing your name in the Q&A forum. I really like this shot!! The juxtaposition of the aboriginal body paint and the modern sunglasses makes an amazing subject. I also like the way you kept the DOF narrow, to keep the background from being distracting.
