This relates to the apology which the indigenous people wanted from the Australian Government for wrongs in the past 200 years, mainly emanating from the "Stolen Generation" where aboriginal children were forcibly taken from their parents "for their own good". One of the first things that the new Australian Labor Government did when they came into power was to officially apologise to all Australian aborigines and Torres Strait Islanders in February 2008.
