If you are an angler or simply love beautiful alpine scenery, you can not miss the June Lake Loop. Hwy 158 gives access to a chain of gorgeous lakes nested in a steep horseshoe-shaped canyon.
Campgrounds, hiking trails, beaches, stores, and restaurants are plenty. Horseback riding and a pack station is located near Silver lake, after June. Boat rentals are available at the Grand Lake, Gull Lake, Silver lake, and June lake marinas. And if you feel like being pampered, there's even a world class spa in the area.

___Obsidian Dome____
A hill of solid volcanic glass. Its on Glass flow Road (west) off US 395, 11 miles north of Mammoth lakes.
___Lookout Mountain____
Six mile north of Mammoth lakes along US 395, turn right on Lookout Mountain road (across from Scenic Loop Road)a steep narrow dirt road leads to this panoramic viewpoints.
____Inyo Crater____
A 1/4 mile hike leads to 2 volcanic explosion pits which contain a small lakes. Picnic table available. take the Scenic Road from Mammoth lakes and look for the sign on the right hand side of the road. Turn left.
