The rock "bowl" was inclined at the Arch, below the foreground bed rock to the right of the image. On the left, outside of this image, was a straight drop of 4,829 ft down to the valley below. There was no hand rails, the rock was slippery; some children, as seen in this gallery knew of no height, ran around in front of their parents.
