We got to the Gorge first thing in the next morning, the direction led us right off the turn-off from the visitors center of freeway 24.
The first half of drive from the freeway went through the early Mormon preserved settlement area, then the drive opened up with drastic change of landscape into tall walls of rocks and its formation from a distance. The second half and the highlights of the gorge came in the last half of the drive. The gorge was towering with massive rocky walls on both sides of the dirt roads. We were driving at the bottom of the mini grand canyon.
