Lesson 4-Take 1
The Lone Jacaranda

I made this tree painting using Painter X, started with a blue canvas and used lots of
layers. I used so many layers that I got lost, even though I named all of them. I don't
think my use of layers did me any good if I want to go back and change something. I
used the following brushes: Crayons, Chalk, Pencils, Den's Oils and Blenders.

I used a photo of our house and the Jacaranda tree in the parkway as a guide. I put
clouds in the painting, but didn't know how far down to put them. The original photo
didn't help me because the houses hid where the clouds ended. Here is the original
photo: http://www.pbase.com/sharlee44/image/64084775/original

I think I need to add something under the tree, but don't know what would be simple
enough that I could do without a photo to guide me. I don't think I could come up with
something that looks right on my own.
