Graphics Challenge #80! This week's challenge theme has been suggested by Trinity
as a response to some great articles by our site guide, Sue. After reading through the
recent blend modes articles, she came up with the theme idea. So without further ado,
we challenge you with Blending Modes. Use one or more blend modes to enhance or
edit an image. Try some experimenting and have fun with it.
I used Corel Painter X (Tracing Paper and the Camel Oil Cloner brush) to make an
image of our dog Lizzie. I used a photo of Lizzie laying on our bed when she was four
months old. Switching to Photoshop Elements 4, I used the following blending modes:
Exclusion, Difference and Soft Light. Finally I used Merge Visible and left the image at
Normal blending mode.
