Graphics Challenge #58. For almost a year and a half, Dave (aka Nyteskyz),
has been doing a great job as our graphics challenge coordinator. For those
that don't know, Dave comes up with most of the ideas for our challenges, gathers the
starting images, and posts the challenge thread in the forum every week. On top of that,
he takes time to look at all the submissions and is always generous with his comments.
He certainly makes the graphics software forum a wonderful place to visit and learn from,
and I think it's about time we all showed him some thanks! So this week's graphics
challenge is to create a special image to show your Thanks to Dave.
Searched the Internet for "night skies" images and found a picture with lots of stars in the
night to use in my thanks to Nyteskyz for being our coordinator.Using PSE4, I changed
the look of the night skies by using the following Filter-Adjustment Filters-Equalize & Posterize,
then from Styles & Effects I used: Effects-Fluorescent Chalk. I used Dave's baby profile
picture from this site and from Styles & Effects I ran the ComicBook Effect on it, then from
Enhance I adjusted the color variations. I also put a gavel in his handand ran the Filters: Brush
Strokes-Angled Strokes & Sumi-e on the gavel. From Styles & Effects I used the Blurry Black
Border to frame the image then I used SuesStyles7-Sapphire in Gold on the font "Marker Felt".
