A unity of earth, water and sky --- Zen-like in its repose, tranquil and eternal. Bravo!!!

It wonderful to see a landscape appear in the Khogalian archive. You merge clouds in the sky with their reflection in the water to evoke an idea that I was working on in an image of my own just five days before you made this one. Two days ago, Marisa Taddia left a comment on this image, which is athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/75089019 , about discovering a dimension of the sky within the water. She said my image took her into nature's basement, to find traces of the ancient history of the universe. I would say the same about this one. Your composition is stunning -- repeating the shape of the pointed cloud formation in the shape of the pointed inlet that forms the anchor of your image. And your black and white abstraction simplifies the image, and makes the image less about New Zealand and more about time and origins, as the sky and water and earth fuse into a single entity.

What a brave choice...to show New Zealand in black and white....
I think the sky is what makes me love this picture.
