Everything works here, Kal -- the layers of red, the stacks, the sense of age and, most of all, a sense of use -- Shanghai is a well used city. That use gives its character and this image its meaning.

One striking aspect in this photograph is the repetition of stacked horizontal patterns - from the sacks to the boxes under the letters to the brushes strokes on the wall. Interestingly challenging.

Love the title as much as the photo.
I do so much like when you do color because you do it so intensely.
My eyes go from sacks on the left to the characters on the window.. and lastly to the hydrant.
