A perfect addition to your silent witness collection. Very inspiring, Kal to include and bridge a SP and a main character, entering his world yet without creating much disturbance. I tried something similar during my trip but it didn't have such a clever composition like yours. You're the best!

Another classic! Perfect crop and so many interesting things to look at. You truly live in a "photographer's playground!"

Very good image. You seem to be able to pre-frame your images in your head. I would never have thought of this composition.

Lol! love it. So many things in this image, so many people (lol:-)), and despite all, the image has a great composition.
I love how you framed it, really, with the barber on the right side and all the shop behind him. And you somewhere in another world.

You've both been caught! Great shot. You catch a lot of Shanghai citizens napping. Must be a very relaxing lifestyle. :-)

You are not unobservant Jude... you are "otherobservant".
(Sorry Kal, I know it's 4.22am there, go on sleeping...)

:S
I just saw you in the mirror.. I'm so stupid (and unobservant).
It WAS very early in the morning though.. :)

I would take a shot like this and it would be cluttered and utterly nonsensical. You take it and it becomes magical. Always a pleasure, Kal, to view your work.

omg..lol.. I LOVE the composition here - the bit of him as he snoozes.. the light coming in the back and showing off items in his shop.
Guest 21-Dec-2006 13:07
Well... I take this a self-ironic statement, if you see what I mean...
LOL !

A client like you can bankrupt more than one barber, Kal... ;-)
