I am thinking about your choice of keeping the person asleep in the focus. I got an expression that there is a dream within a reality, and a reality within a dream.. I love your humor and the thoughts under it. You are GREAT, as always! :))

Only the fulcrum can feel the weight of a scale in perfect balance.

The concept of playing an upright person against sleeping colleagues always creates incongruous relationships. Jenene sees these sleepers as "the bad kids," but perhaps they are actually the smart ones here -- smart enough to catch some z's when they can, while he sits there wide awake, and stews. You get our minds and imaginations involved here, as usual, Kal. Is Shanghai, one of the most vibrant cities on earth, conducive to public slumber? I ask because I made this shot there a few years ago:http://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/31311866

It looks like a late night scene or people in an airport who did not have enough sleep. We could even imagine a relationship between the two sleepy people. Why not? Reality is often more unbelievable than fiction.

Incredible observation and capture! A man being caught in between two sleepyheads! Though he's awake, he looked as if he's in deep thought, perhaps his right brain and his left brain were both daydreaming and they often function differently like a man and a woman :-)
