A child is always a child... I'm truly blown away by the spirit of these kids. Living on the streets, they're deprived of the material pleasures that we take for granted, but blessed instead of a profundity of feeling and expression. They see simply beyond the earth and the sky, finding moments of play and joy, of wonder and magic, of innocence and courage. Amazing, Kal.

Hi Kal, thanks for the lovely gift. It's precious.
Life IS sweet! There is no doubt in my mind at all.
These children are irrefutable proof of that.

Best regards from San Diego

OK Kal, make me cry.
It feels good when you put a lump in the throat of this jaded old curmudgeon and make my eyes moist.
Don't stop.

Gotta smile. :-)

The simplest of pleasures can trigger the most powerful of emotions. You are expressing the human value of pleasure here, Kal, in a beautifully low key manner. Most likely, they are just two children responding to your presence, each in their own way. But symbolically, they represent all children at play and at pleasure.

Joy can be everywhere, it flies freely like a little frail butterfly, if one tries to catch it to keep it forever, it get spoilt and cannot fly anymore. So it's much better to contemplate and to enjoy it when it flies by...

I know what you mean Kal...
life on the streets does not seem to take away the
thrill of living...the human being is so adaptable.
Misery is ...often deceptively, present in all our lives.
As are the thrills...look at her!!

Sometimes it's just so hard to make sense of it all.

Anyway...cheers : )

Outstanding capture! There is a lot of joy over their face!

This one is fantastic Kal! Both their expressions are amazingly expressive. But somehow they are set apart in time... The girl laughing like crazy at something she saw and the boy still looking for it and not really sure if he should laugh already :)
Congrats on another fine nocturne capture.
