Fate... We all feel like that sometimes. Thanks for illustrating how it was experienced that day by these two persons.

It seems they are waiting for a long time.
Their expressions are priceless!
Fantastic!

Interesting title. A storytelling picture on the life of street vendors, seen through our eyes, the potential tourists perhaps. Agree with Phil, a mixed bag of emotions that you'd captured for us, not just one but two contrasting women. Much stronger and sadder...

What expressions you caught! I'm always amazed to see how you can, very quickly, see, understand and catch the expressions of people.

Folded, worn and stained with more harsh labours than their shoes.Crumpled in defeat.Collapsing under the weight of misfortune.

You gather a basketful of human values together in this journalistic image, Kal: sadness, exhaustion, grief, loss,
despair, frustration -- you name it and it's here. And not a customer in sight.

"You won't believe I got these espadrilles from two roadside vendors, what a bargain, the whole lot for thirty cents!!!"
