what a great shot! that balloon in the air,as if to contrast the past with the present, even the future. the black and white makes it even more stunning....
Guest 06-Feb-2007 15:01
No, its not posible. all this beauty in just an image
Guest 21-Nov-2006 12:12
Wonderful scenery. I like the light.

Kal, the image is breathtaking.. the landscape, the fisherman and its boat, the misty, the glorious use of light/shadow and the balloon... the balloon transform the enviroment for me. in a way, is the portal to another understanding of this image. the interaction of nature, man and culture: past and future reunited in this slippery moment of present that you masterly caught in this unique image. My compliments!!

Earth, Wind and Water... magical composition!
Guest 11-Aug-2006 13:49
Wow! What a capture. Easily among your best. Without the balloon, it's a nice "post card" type shot. But the balloon adds such an interesting dimension - a contrast. Very well done! Vote.

Truly fantastic. My wish indeed, and you're the master who made it come true.

Hey look!! There's Phileas Fog's ballon :) You caught him on his 80 days tour round the world while he passed through China!!!! This is amazing!!
jaac09-Aug-2006 15:26
A wonderful capture, like an image from a dream, quite surreal with the baloon :-)
scott clarke09-Aug-2006 12:45
I agree with Adrian, but wow the balloon puts a strange spin on things. Excellent B&W Kal.
Ray Rebortira09-Aug-2006 02:41
Remember Kubrick's monolith? This image has the same effect, as if the balloon's presence foretells the leap to the future. As usual, Kal, this is brilliantly done. Bravo!!!

Stunning - although perversely I think I might like it even more without the balloon, which seems incongruous somehow. Voted in any case!

The balloon and the boat are excellently captured. Great B&W shot. Voted.

You render the scene timeless w/ b&w and then surprise us with the hot air balloon to throw us off balance. Very nice, Kal.

A very beautiful, serene yet unusual scene. I guess I'm used to seeing colorful hot air balloon and hence your choice of b&w gave the shot a unique feel. Nice one.

Excellent B/W landscape shot! Beautiful scene! V-

A real dream, Kal. A wonderful image. V
Steven Jusczyk08-Aug-2006 02:17
Superb! Could be an image from a hundred years ago except for the balloon.
Guest 08-Aug-2006 01:46
Excellent shot. You know the nice thing about Photoshop is that the element of chance to be upped considerably. I am kidding, sort of.
Kal Khogali08-Aug-2006 00:56
Christine...I think Adal calls it the "Chance" element in photography..;-)K

Is that balloon for real? Really makes it unique. Vote.

stunning in black and white! very nice

The balloon caught my attention first too. I like it. It is as if it were going to land on one of the "pointy" mountains. Do you see these balloons regularly or was it a lucky shot?
We get so used to seeing people fishing in pictures like this one that we may have the tendency to forget that they need to work extra long hours to make a living.
