What happened ? To the future which would clothe me as fondly as my mother. To my desires, however silly as a child, were not far from my reach. That I could see them as plain as day with rich anticipation. When my cries and laughter fell upon caring ears. And I might address myself with honorable pride and accomplishment amomg the company of my family peers.

That woman's look is so expressive. At the same time she pays attention to what her child is trying to tell her and she does the sewing. The details in the child's pants and the relative simplicity of the environment also caught my attention.

You indeed caught a moment of joy in this photo, I was kind of wondering, if he is cheering for the clothes he is wearing, or for the one his mom is making. But either way, the monter and the son are exchanging the best gifts to one another, I can feel that in here!

Great image - yes, the title is perfect. While I can't see his face, I imagine a sense of anticipation for what's being designed. Looks like you were pretty close (45mm) - bravo for inserting yourself so close to the scene - I still can't do that.

However, the real praise needs to go to Rod's comment - he get's the awared for "best use of a methaphor based on the photo's title" in a comment. Well done!

Another shot with really strong narrative - this would be a good one for my children's writing project.

Kal, the title and the photo is so good!
It really makes you think about those little boys born under the rule of one child per familly that becomes little emperors... Splendid capture!

I throw up my arms at your brilliance.Marvelling without pause at the garment sewn from your vision. With every thread, a purpose, a place, as if fashioned by divine touch.I admire your ease and rapid singular skilled strokes of your work.As if the cloth ,the canvas of humanity was born for your hands. To feed your passionate appetite to dress the lives of genuine men . .I worship you as a youngster enthralled by his elders.

Touching portrait, reminds me of the book "Balzac and the little Chinese seamstress" which I like a lot.

Not only you've pressed the shutter at the exact moment, but you've also came up with a title to match it. Another great one!! The child's posture is unbelievable. Congrats Kal.

What?! ISO 1600? ~a moment of fainting~ Never fear for graints?
It's impressive to see the boy making gestures like he his communicating with someone above, in the sky.
