Echo, at the Bund, opposite the Peace Hotel. If we spent a lifetime in Shanghai, we would never see it all ;-) K

Very expressive nightscape, Kal. Both in terms of technique and meaning. By reflecting the historic Bund back on itself, you create a tunnel back into time. Everyone seems to be caught up in how you made it, but why you made it is much more important. You are saying to us that Shanghai, for all of its 21st Century Dynamism, is a city built on its history, and this image takes us back to its glory days of the 1920s and 30s in a way that no reality could. By using black and white instead of color you make it seem older, too.

thx Osama, for the complement and the pointer. I have straightened it up now...I must have been leaning left!! As to the exposure, I wanted to the detail to be found in the reflection not the real...hence the title..K Robbie, it wasn't as surreal in colour...but then few things are..;-)

I love this image; it's interesting that you exposed for the reflection and not the original scene. (Consider rotating it just a tiny little bit to make it level)

Well done Kal. I had to look twice to see how this was done.

Well spotted and caught , is it as dramatic in colour ? Know how you love Black and white.
Must try some myself soon .
