I normally steer clear of gimmicks such as black and white and color in the same image. What Ana calls "selective coloring" usually seems forced and obvious to me. But you use it here very subtly. I thought I was looking at a color image when I first say this photo. The blue is so strong in mood and meaning that it obscures the fact that the rest of the picture is in black and white. By doing this to a photo, you remove it from reality and make of it a fantasy. If that is what you want to accomplish here, you have done it well.
Very vibrant picture, so full of means and so rich of feelings. Once again I find in it a perfect balance between the formal aspect of a picture, as cropping, position of subjects, post processing technique and the depth of visual communication and emotional impact.
