Unfortunately not Phil, but he was unharmed, I infact got hit by sharpnel. I am closer than you think, this is 30mm focal length (50mm equivalent)! I discovered that night that one of the advantages of the 20D is 5 frames per second, so I can catch a moment like this. But with a buffer that can only hold nine frames before it locks up, there is a maximum of two seconds between letting the burst off and the camera stopping to finish writing to the card. What amused me was how they then continued to let off more...I guess based on the premise that this could not possibly happen twice in one night (or maybe even a lifetime)!
