Ahh ! now after seeing the colour version I find I agree . There is a time for B+W
and it does provoke thought about the image . Its great to use both forms of visual
stimulant, Colour and B+W.

Interesting question Robbie. Black and White is a symbolic form for me, so where the message is not litteral, I guess it works better. Very often it also removes distracting detail from the message, in the from of colour, and distills the realtionships in the image. As to the sky, I wanted three portions, the forground, the middle (the mountain section) and then the sky, representing the wall going on forever. I personally think (and this is preference) that a busy beautiful cloudy sky here would detract from the message, which as Alem pointed out is the endlessness of this man made giant. I will post the colour version for you tonight to compare.

Hello Kal , I do like this shot, with the DOF and wall into the distance. Im puzzled as to why you chose to make it B+W , then include so much grey sky? Still a good shot
neverless.

Hi Kal,

I am back again since you are posting quite fantastic images which impress me a lot.
Here is another one, Kal. I just love the way you associated the idea of time and space. Something timeless, the Great Wall, represented here as something endless. Both give us the result of seomthing forever. Wonderful, Kal, really.

Until the next one....
