Oakland Cemetery is Atlanta's oldest and largest cemetery and dates back to 1850. It is believed that 70,00 people are buried
here including golfing great Bobby Jones, Margaret Mitchell Marsh, author of "Gone with The Wind", Former Atlanta Mayor Maynard Jackson and many other famous locals. The Cemetery was hit with a tornado in March, 2008 and did widespread damage, felling
many large old trees.Repairs are still being done.
