The 1880 Train from Hill City, S.D.

My friend Michael from Enlgand has a big love for trains. This was the thrill of his trip with me to South Dakota (well one of many I think). I wish we would have had time to do some train chasing along with the train ride. Taking photos from the train didn't come out nearly as well as I would have liked.

Hi.
I took my 79 year old mom out to the Hills, the summer of '07 to relive our vacation of '65. Unfortunatly, it was her last trip, but she loved the trainride, especially the special Independence Day show that they put on. The fireworks over Rushmore on the 3rd were spectacular, but she reallly got a bang out of the "train robbery" that the crew put on on the 4th!
Your photos really bring back fond memories!
