In Memory of My Gertie Girl

Gertie was the most important thing in my life. I know that may sound odd to many of you. She was like my little girl, not a bird at all. She was extraordinary in so many ways, she was the sunshine of my life. She passed away during an emergency surgery on January 10th, 2006. My heart aches for her and in my heart she will forever be.

Thank you Debi (nice gallery btw) and John. John I have told everyone I know on the olympus forum of your wonderful way of putting things when it comes to our animals. They ARE our little people! I couldn't have said it any better but felt it very strongly. Thank you for such comforting words.

My deepest sympathies in your loss. I totally understand the loss of a dear pet. They really aren't animals, they are little people, our little people, whom we confide in, enjoy their company and feel the unconditional love. I will think of you tonite, but maybe, just maybe, open your heart to another 'Gertie' who also needs the love and home of a very warm and understanding person as yourself

I'm So sorry for your loss! I too have birds ( Along with a lot of other assorted critters) and can not imagine life with out them in it! Debi
