It is Indeed a 1957 Pontiac Safari Customl (Nomad)

Updated on July 17, 2008. This car is getting quite the following and it seems to become more imortant (or rare) the more we find out about it. I only wish I knew the owners. I was in the state park here, looking for wild life and can't resist any good looking car when it goes by.

Thank you for the help! I had a hard time finding that emblem but once I knew it was a Pontiac that's all it took! YEAH!

Hi folks I've just done a magazine feature on the same type of vehicle and can tell you that it's not a Transcontinental. The Trans were four door wagons introduced in the second half of '57. This one's a '57 Custom Safari - Pontiac/GM renamed the two door a Custom in '57 to distinguish it from the four door models which also got the Safari name attached to them in '57.

Hi Hun- This is a 57 Chevy one of the most classic of all cars but this is a wagon that makes it maybe 10 times more Classic & Rare ! Hope this helps, Gw
