Is this the world-famous "Red Fort?" If it is, it is where one of the most famous uprisings of the whole British Raj occurred. The fort was where an Indian regiment(s) were housed, and they revolted, one of the reasons being rumors that the grease on their rifle cartridges came from pigs, I believe, which would make them extremely unclean, since to load their rifles, they had to bite down on one end of the cartridge, to load the rifle. You are forcing me to go relarn my history here. The photography here is just great!
