Convict Brick Trail - on the way to Launceston, in Campbell Town, is a trail of bricks

dedicated to the nearly 200,000 convicts who were transported to Australia for almost 100 years from 1788 onwards. The bricks provide the name of the convict, his/her age, the ship and date, the crime and sentence, and what happened to him/her after service their sentence. It also provides an index number where further information may be available at the Northern Midlands Council.
