The Frigatebird

Frigatebirds are seabirds that obtain most of their food on the wing. However, a small amount of their diet is obtained by snatching other seabird chicks and eggs. The distinctive feature of the male is a large red pouch that is inflated during the breeding season to attract a mate. The pouch can remain inflated for up to 2-3 weeks.
