 A gull transporting something |
I believe this is a type of gull, but hard to tell from this angle. Nice picture though :) |

Nesting pair of Great Herons |
 Great Heron in flight |
I would normally not have included this image, as it's not in sharp focus, but it's there due to a hummingbird also in the frame |
 I think possibly a honey bee |
I was taking pictures of bees on this bush, when a new friend appeared, and stayed around for a few more pictures |
I'm not sure what species of hummingbird this is. Maybe an Anna's or possibly a Broad-tailed hummingbird |
A flock of Great and Snowy Egrets chasing a school of anchovies. That may be a Reddish Egret on the far left. |
 Cormorants joining the fun |
These pictures were taken at high tide, and in the foreground, are several hundred sandpipers on this little patch of land |
Something must have spooked them, as all of a sudden, they took off en masse |
One gull must have thought it was a sandpiper. The other gulls are just ignoring the whole thing :) |
They then made a U-turn and are now heading off to the right |
Another turn, and they're now heading back towards me |
And one last picture before they head off, and pretty much disappear. Quite an amazing spectacle. |
And last, but not least, a cute little Snowy Egret |
