Sunday, the storm is growing and getting closer	sandy becomes a spectator sport	low tide work on south beach	low tide work to the north
spectators galore	spectator in the mist	getting closer and closer	more and more visitors
Ralph has left the pier	Monday morning storm is growing stronger	fishing pier is surrounded	power, power, power
unrelenting waves	waves are rolling up to the boardwalk	now we wait	lights and power are gone at 6:30 pm
foam from the ocean, wind driven	the storm surge is growing larger and deeper	ocean takes a left turn down our block	hoping the stop sign would work
the ocean gets to our house	Tuesday morning, viewing the front of our home	Tuesday morning, surveying the damage	found in front of our house
walking toward the boardwalk	concrete benches strewn down the block	first glimpse of the boardwalk and fishing pier	the boardwalk didn't fair to well
fishing pier, about half gone	benches tossed about	feels like a roller coaster	something about a " long walk off a short pier"
skateboarders paradise	ocean ave was now the beach	heavy equipment was brought in to clean the sand, benches and planters	ocean ave looks like a desert
tilty turny	some how it feels like everything will be ok	pictures, pictures, pictures	Shady Porch lost a shutter
clearing ocean ave quickly	someone's roof	a flooded car	lights and sand at the corner
sand pushed back across the street	benches clustered by he waves	tim with half a sign	wind damage south
wind damage north	basements are being emptied	kids find a way to enjoy everything	under the pier
National Guard helicopter	front side damage	backside damage	uprooted tree
now this is real damage	a roof fron two house down	wall blown out by the water surge	furniture blown through the doors
80 year old homes don't stand a chance	breakaway construction	construction detail	another casuality
destroyed by wind and waves	volunteers helping clear the debris and damage on the boardwalk	clean out has started	clean outs
street after street	blown away	ok so what is a few doors and windows	whats a basement amongst friends
ok 5 million down the drain	shattered remains	progress right not yet .jpg	five months later 1 .jpg

This must have been a frightening night....waiting and not knowing how far this would go...and doing so in the dark. Great gallery so far Ted....well maybe great is the wrong word.
