Thousands of people visit the mountains of
Yavapai County each year. A few will become lost,
stranded, or injured . . . some will die.
Our volunteers' objective is to find and rescue these
lost or injured people before it's too late. These highly
trained men and women respond to emergencies and disasters
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Yavapai County Search and Rescue consists of several
nonprofit, tax-exempt organizations dedicated to saving
lives and educating the public on wilderness safety.
The Yavapai County Sheriff's Response Team (YCSRT), is
one of these volunteer search and rescue organizations,
comprised of over 100 dedicated individuals. We are
dedicated to saving lives of those who get lost or otherwise
need assistance. We are sub-divided into several groups of
specialties referred to as units, members are encouraged to
join and train with more than one unit.
